Gap Year 2026/27 Financial Assistance Application Form
Deadline for applications for programmes starting Aug/Sept 2026 is Friday 5th June 2026.

For Aardvark Israel and other approved programmes starting in January 2027, the deadline for Financial Assistance Applications is Friday 4th September 2026.

Before you start, make sure you have all the information required.

You will be able to save the form and continue to fill it out later by providing your email address and a password. However, we will not be able to review your application until it has been submitted and all documents required provided.

There are approximately 13 pages divided into two sections:

Section 1 - To be completed by the Applicant
Section 2 - To be completed by the Parents/Guardians

The eligibility is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Gross household income must not exceed £100,000

We will calculate a bursary together with your Youth Movement/Organisation, dependent on your financial circumstances.

You will need to provide the following for all Parents/Guardians in the household:
- Proof of identity of the Parents/Guardians (such as a picture/scan of driving license or passport).
- Proof of address of the Parents/Guardians (such as a utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old).
- Last 3 months payslips and/or dividend vouchers for Parents/Guardians.
- P60s from Parents/Guardians employment, or the last SA302 if self-employed (one can request this from HMRC).
- A detailed breakdown of Parents/Guardians monthly income & expenditure.
All information you provide will be treated in strict confidence.

Prior to review by the UJIA Access Israel Fund Financial Assistance Committee all personal details (including names and addresses) will be redacted, and your submission will be anonymised before review.

I understand that this application is a request for financial assistance only and does not commit UJIA to providing funding. Any award will be made at UJIA’s sole discretion and subject to the availability of funds. If successful, any funding offered will be conditional upon formal acceptance of the full Terms and Conditions issued at the time of award.

I acknowledge that any financial assistance granted is subject to ongoing compliance with the conditions of the award. If the Participant cancels their place before departure, does not complete the Programme (including due to an undisclosed pre-existing medical or psychological condition), transfers to another programme, or is dismissed from the Programme for which this Application is made, I agree, upon request, to reimburse the full amount awarded.

I understand that UJIA raises funds to support the UJIA Access Israel Fund and may request additional information from successful applicants for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes. Any such information will be handled in accordance with UJIA’s commitment to confidentiality and, where applicable, anonymity. No financial or other personal information will be disclosed without appropriate safeguards.
